Screenplay

The screenplay unfolded across 15 pages, blending surreal, cartoonish visions with reality to explore themes of monotony, memory, and self-discovery.

Using a detailed color coded system, the screenplay highlighted SFX, dialogue, animated elements, emotional triggers, and flashbacks, allowing all team members and the creative advisory board to intuitively follow the narrative’s emotional and structural beats, ensuring a cohesive storytelling experience that mirrored the protagonist’s journey from despair to empowerment.

The second phase involved creating the concept art for both the main protagonist, Leo Bennett, and the mother, Amelia Bennett, to keep the vision of the film consistent.

Storyboards
By Yara Badwi

During the storyboard phase, we visually mapped the screenplay’s key moments from the script into a dynamic sequence of frames. This process allowed us to refine pacing, composition, and visual storytelling, ensuring the narrative’s themes of our film were powerfully conveyed through imagery before diving into capturing the actual footage. The storyboards served as a crucial blueprint for the team, aligning creative vision and execution.
